Troubleshooting

Common issues

Dispatcher won't talk to the player

  • Confirm the boss NPC at Config.BossNPC.coords exists in-world. The model spawns on resource start.
  • Verify ox_target is running and reachable on the client.
  • Check the player meets any custom job whitelist you have applied.

Can't take out a truck

  • The player must hold the matching CDL license for that truck class.
  • The player must be inside the depot interaction zone — taking out a truck is an ox_target action on the depot, not a global command.
  • Confirm the truck record exists in medit8z_trucking_owned_trucks and stored = 1.

License item doesn't appear after passing the test

  • The quiz pass and the metadata flag both succeed, but the inventory item requires the items.lua merge from step 2 of Installation.
  • Re-merge the entries for cdl_b_license, cdl_a_license, hazmat_license and restart ox_inventory.

Item icons missing in inventory

  • Copy all PNGs from medit8z_trucking/images/ into resources/[ox]/ox_inventory/web/images/.
  • Restart ox_inventory so the web bundle reloads.

Freight contracts don't unlock with skills

  • Each freight contract's requiredSkills keys must match Config.Skills[*].name exactly. The defaults are adr, distance, valuable, fragile, ontime.

Hazmat trailers can't be towed

  • The player needs the hazmat flag set in Qbox player metadata under licences. Pass the Hazmat Endorsement test, or use /trucking_addxp to level up first.

Database errors on start

  • Confirm oxmysql is running and the connection string is valid.
  • Re-upload medit8z_trucking if sql/trucking.sql is missing — the loader will log trucking.sql not found.

Owned truck "lost" after a server crash

  • Every start, the script resets stored = 1 on all owned trucks. The truck should reappear in the garage list. If it does not, check for SQL errors in the start log.

Debug commands

Set Config.Debug = true in config.lua to enable:

Disable Config.Debug on production servers — these commands grant arbitrary progression and currency.

  • Server console output from resource start
  • The misbehaving page or action (Quick Job, Freight, CDL test, Garage, Bank, Skills)
  • Your Config.Debug setting and any custom Config.Licenses or Config.Skills edits
