Medit8z Diving
A scuba and underwater crate-hunting system for Qbox servers: 7 always-active dive zones, oxygen tanks with metadata-tracked durability, 4 crate tiers, and persistent rented boats. Ambient hazards — currents, low-visibility fog, and optional sharks — make every dive a risk run, while all loot rolls and crate state transitions are server-authoritative.
What it does
- Oxygen system — tanks carry per-instance oxygen and durability metadata. Drain while submerged, refill on land, replace when broken.
- 7 dive zones — Paleto Wreck, Procopio Beach, Chumash Reef, East Deep, Vespucci Shallows, Pacific South, Pacific East. All blips live on the map from join — no mission start required.
- 4 crate tiers — Regular (free), Medical (crowbar), Locked (lockpick + minigame), Rare (lockpick + harder minigame; failure destroys the crate).
- Dynamic crate spawns — 35–50 randomized crates per zone on resource start. The first search in a zone arms a one-hour respawn timer.
- Competitive looting — crates are shared world props. First come, first served.
- Boat rental — single dive NPC handles shop, gear, and boat. Boats persist across disconnects and restarts; anchor toggle on G.
- Ambient hazards — current zones push divers and accelerate oxygen drain; fog zones reduce visibility; optional shark patrols deal damage and can be scared off with a crowbar hit.
- Anti-exploit — server-side loot rolls, server-authoritative crate state, depth verification before interaction, lockpick timing validation, and one-boat-per-player enforcement.
- Custom UI — oxygen HUD with real-time readout and animated welcome screen.

qbx_vehiclekeys is required for the boat rental key handoff. Diving is the only Medit8z script of the four that depends on it.
